Catching up with 225 contributors this month

Virginia Archer (writer): “I’m partnering with Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation and Hunters for the Hungry to encourage local fisherman and hunters to donate to various food pantries around the state. I’ll mostly be assisting them with event planning, marketing and grant writing.”

Lawles Bourque (photographer): “I’ll be enjoying Destiny, the new multiplayer, first-person adventure game for PS4 from the creators of Halo. It’s one of the biggest video game releases ever, and I’m actually planning on using it as another way to communicate with my dad, because he’ll be playing it too!”

Mary Ann Sternberg (writer): “I’ll be trying to help save the St. James Parish Historical Society Museum in Lutcher. It’s something like a mini-Rural Life Museum of river Cajun history and culture. It’s one of the stories in my book River Road Rambler—a funky, unique, and now threatened little gem that needs funds in order to be saved and moved to the parish’s new tourism center.”

Amanda Wicks (writer): “I’ll be enjoying the new self-titled album from the amazing singer-songwriter Ryan Adams. And, if luck should have it, I hope to catch him in concert this fall.”
