Alexander’s hosts pop-up farmers market

More than two dozen local farmers and food businesses will sell their produce and goods at Alexander’s Highland Market’s (18111 Highland Road) next pop-up farmers market Sunday. The event kicks off at 10 a.m., spotlighting Luckett Farms’ freshly picked squash, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchini and more. Check out 225 Dine‘s feature on Luckett Farms.

Local writer Aimee Broussard will also be on hand, signing copies of her new book The Traveling Apron. Small-batch foodie Grinning Jupiter Jammery will debut a few new nut butters and pestos at the market to go along with the company’s jams and jellies.

Other vendors include Old Soul Pickles, Cafeciteaux, The Big Squeezy and POPCulture Popsicles. For more information, visit alexandersmkt.com or call 615-7800.
