Fight cancer this Sunday at BREC’s fourth annual Kayak in Colors, held in partnership with the LSO Foundation and Cancer Services of Baton Rouge.
For a $10 donation to Cancer Services, you can paddle a kayak, canoe or paddle board for 15 minutes. Participants are encouraged to wear the color of the cancer they are fighting or representing. All ages are welcome, but you must be 10 or older to paddle solo.
The LSO Foundation, created in memory of Lauren Savoy Olinde, aims to raise awareness of skin cancer through education, prevention and early detection efforts. Cancer Services helps meet the financial, emotional and physical needs that arise on the cancer journey, serving people from more than 10 parishes.
