Grub Crawl takes over downtown Thursday

Baton Rougeans can get a taste of downtown bars and restaurants during this week’s inaugural 3rd Street Grub Crawl.

The event kicks off Thursday, March 26, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., and puts the spotlight on some of downtown’s hottest spots. The list of stops includes Hotel Indigo, Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar, Huey’s, Restaurant IPO, The Roux House, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar, Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s, Schlittz & Giggles, The Draft House, Stroubes and Happy’s.

The event benefits Thrive BR’s charter school. With a $10 wristband, patrons can enjoy food and drink specials, live music and more at each venue. To get your wristband and more information, click here.

Check out some of the specials at participating restaurants and bars below.

  • Jolie Pearl: A 2-2-2 sampler, featuring two chargrilled, two BBQ Nola, and two Bacon Brie oysters.
  • Stroubes: $35 menu featuring a choice of starter, entrée and dessert.
  • The Roux House: Tony’s boudin balls and a pizza stand in the courtyard, plus a VIP area and piano bar.
  • Lucy’s: Mexican duo of house margarita and chips and queso, $10 pineapple painkillers.
  • Schlittz & Giggles: Slice & Stein—a cheese and pepperoni slice with a 34-ounce Schlittz.
