Ever wondered what life was like in 1800s Louisiana? The Rural Life Museum (4560 Essen Lane) has all the answers and some fun planned for its 19th annual Harvest Days celebration this weekend. The event features activities that took place on Louisiana farms and plantations during harvest time in the 19th century, including cooking, soap-making, woodworking and other activities in which the general public can participate.
