A local theatre company will provide a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time starting this weekend. Theatre Baton Rouge’s production of Mary Poppins kicks off Friday at 7:30 p.m. The musical is based on the stories of P.I. Travers and the Walt Disney film of the same name. The play tells the story of the Banks family. They live in a large house in London on Cherry Lane, but things aren’t going so well because the children are out of control. The patriarch, Mr. Banks, hires a mysterious and magical young woman named Mary Poppins to help. Along the way, the family learns that anything can happen if you let it. Tickets are $28.
