This weekend’s Plant Fest will feature the largest selection of native and adapted plant species the Gulf South has seen in one place at one time.
The festival is LSU Hilltop Arboretum’s fall plant sale, with more than 700 plant species up for sale. Local plant enthusiasts can purchase nearly anything their hearts desire, including trees, flowers, ferns, vines, berries and thorns.

Customers may bring their own wagons to haul plants or use one of the wagons available on site. Volunteers will be able to assist festival-goers in locating plants and can also tell you a bit about the likes and dislikes of the plant you’re interested in. Helpers will be available to aid in loading cars after checkout.
Plant Fest will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 8, noon-4 p.m.
