A PEZ movie is in the works

Today in “this headline isn’t a joke,” the candy company PEZ has entered into an exclusive agreement with Envision Media Arts (EMA) to develop an animated feature based on the popular dispensers. Screenwriter Cameron Fay (The Three Stooges Movie) will script the film, according to a story from Deadline Hollywood. The candy was created almost 90 years ago in Austria and is now available in more than 80 countries.

EMA CEO and founder Lee Nelson says the film will be unique and its story “will touch the hearts of many.” There is no release date set for the film.
