Lagniappe Records celebrates its first birthday

Tess Brunet and Patrick Hodgkins’ Lagniappe Records hosts a grand re-opening Saturday. The free event kicks off a noon and includes a record sale, drinks, food and live performances from Brunet and the Black Orchids, The Chambers, Jetlagger and more. It’s been a busy first year for the local record shop. After opening last year on France Street, Brunet and Hodgkins moved the business into a larger space in Beauregard Town. The store also established its own vinyl-only D.I.Y. label, and the first release will feature music from local rock ‘n’ roll young guns The Chambers. For more information on Lagniappe, read 225‘s story. RSVP and get more information on the event.
