The River Region Art Association’s local art showcase, the Red Hot Art Show, kicks off Friday at the RRAA Depot Gallery (1008 W. Hwy. 30, Gonzales, Louisiana). The public is invited to view submissions from local artists, all of which share the theme “red, hot and fiery.” Awards will be given in different categories, which include paintings, drawings, digital art and three-dimensional art. Judging will be determined by people’s choice votes during the public reception. Art sales during the exhibit will benefit the artists as well as the RRAA, which is a non-profit organization.
