More than 30 Mid City businesses will be open for the 11th annual spring art hop. Mid City Merchants’ “Hot Art, Cool Nights Revisited” kicks off Friday at noon. Participating businesses include the Atomic Pop Shop, Brew Ha-Ha, Caffery Gallery, Rue Cou Cou, Sally’s Circa 1857 and Time Warp Boutique. Local artists and their original works will be on display for visitors to view and connoisseurs to purchase. Proceeds from the event will continue Mid City’s efforts to purchase public art. The event was supposed to kick off Friday, May 9, but was postponed due to hard rain and parish-wide flooding.
