Stands Café, the downtown pastry, chocolate and coffee boutique on Laurel Street (Map it!) that also serves lunch, has expanded its weekday hours. The local shop is now open Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Strands is open on Saturdays as well, 8 a.m. to noon. The café is also hosting its first children’s Christmas tea, the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea, Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $24.95. Call 344-5346 to make your reservation.
