Dreaming of Dream Berrie

Pho and fro-yo under the same roof may not sound like the most intuitive idea, but that’s the concept behind Dream Berrie Café on Sherwood Forest Boulevard, and according to manager Christopher Nguyen, it’s proving to be a recipe for success. Inside the cheery, brightly painted café, customers can seat themselves at a table and order from a menu of delicious Vietnamese favorites, from the popular noodle soup known as pho to grilled meat and vermicelli dishes. Afterwards, they can stroll over to the bank of frozen yogurt machines and finish off their meal with a healthy dollop of their favorite flavors and toppings. Nguyen says the plan was simply to take two popular concepts and combine them. “There’s a real lack of Vietnamese restaurants on this side of town, as well as frozen yogurt places, and both types of restaurants are really popular right now.” Nguyen says they plan to expand the menu soon, but wanted to start off with Vietnamese standards to get the menu down pat so that every dish would be of the highest quality possible.
