TimeOut Lounge will host its grand reopening in its new Baton Rouge location at 4619 Bennington Ave. this weekend.

The bar has taken over the former location of Game Day Daiquiris, across the street from Gino’s and The Station Sports Bar & Grill. TimeOut will celebrate with events Friday and Saturday.

Ned Fasullo & His Fabulous Big Band Orchestra will perform Friday, July 24, 7 p.m.-11 p.m. The Wheels perform Saturday, July 25, 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Happy hour starts at 4 p.m. on both days.

The bar is also partnering with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Customers are encouraged to bring a non-perishable canned or dry food item upon entry.

It’s been a long, winding road for TimeOut. The bar’s old location at 9374 Old Hammond Highway was destroyed by a fire in December 2013. Last year, TimeOut was set to move into a commercial space off Perkins Road. However, those plans were shot down when the city-parish Planning Commission voted against rezoning the property for a bar.

Fasullo’s mother and stepfather—Kathleen and Jerome Byers—own the bar, and they renovated the space to be more of an upscale bar as opposed to a sports bar. TimeOut Lounge will feature live music, billiards and darts and will be smoke free. Business hours are Monday-Saturday 4 p.m.-2 a.m.
