Bring the entire family to Playmakers of Baton Rouge’s regional premier of The Snow Queen, or When Christmas Freezes Over. The family-friendly play is based on the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. You might recognize Andersen’s work as it was the inspiration for the Disney mega-hit Frozen. Though Elsa and Anna won’t make an appearance here, the play has loads of fun, action and laughs. Showtimes are Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2:30 p.m. Additional shows will take place next weekend. Enjoy a swashbuckling Disney Junior adventure at the River Center
Get swept up in a new adventure as Disney Junior rolls into Baton Rouge Saturday. The never-before-seen live show, called “Pirate & Princess Adventure,” is an adaptation of the classic Peter Pan and features appearances by Sofia the First, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. With a little help from Pan and some other friends, Sofia and Jake go head-to-head with Captain Hook to unlock treasure hidden inside a mysterious volcano.
