Heads up: LRA to host ‘Taste of the South’ Oct. 22

The Greater Baton Rouge chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association hosts its annual fundraiser, “Taste of the South,” Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge. The event features a cooking class and a four-course dinner, with dishes from Louisiana chefs such as Cory Bahr of Restaurant Cotton in Monroe, Holly Goetting of Charley G’s in Lafayette, Jeremy Langlois of Houmas House in Darrow and Chris Luck of Restaurant R’evolution in New Orleans. The fundraiser will support the association’s education foundation, which is governed by a board of directors made up of restaurants, industry experts and educators in the hospitality industry.
