‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ starts Sunday, Oct. 21

The Virginia Repertory Theatre is bringing its rendition of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to Baton Rouge this Sunday and Monday.

Originally penned by Washington Irving in 1819, the classic gothic tale follows Ichabod Crane in his romantic pursuits of a beautiful resident of Sleepy Hollow, a town infamous for its resident ghost—the iconic Headless Horseman. In his efforts to win her heart, things take an eerie turn.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is sure to set the mood for the Halloween season—if you want to check it out, purchase tickets for $15.

The production will take place at Manship Theatre at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, and at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22. The theater is at 100 Lafayette St.

‘The Rocky Horror Show’ starts Thursday, Oct. 18

“I see you shiver with antici…”

Theatre Baton Rouge’s production run of The Rocky Horror Show, adapted from the classic 1975 film of the same name, starts tonight.

The sci-fi horror comedy tells the story of a lost young couple, a castle full of eccentric characters and, of course, Dr. Frank-N-Furter—the sweet transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania.
