Beer lovers will want to take a drive west this weekend. Lake Charles is hosting the inaugural Louisiana Winter Beer Festival Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Historic Calcasieu Marine National Bank Building at 844 Ryan Street.
The event starts at 1 p.m. and puts the spotlight on more than 50 beers. Breweries bringing their wares include Rogue Ales and Lagunitas Brewing Company. Louisiana breweries such as Bayou Teche Brewing, NOLA Brewing Co., Covington Brewhouse and Abita Brewing Company will also be on hand. Tickets are $40.
