Dine Roundup: City Pork coffee tasting, Kleinpeter’s new truck fleet and more food news

Coffee tasting this weekend at City Pork

City Pork Deli & Charcuterie will host New Orleans’ traveling French Truck Coffee this weekend. The truck will serve up free samplings of its iced coffee blended with milk and sugar in the raw Saturday, Feb. 27,  9-11 a.m.

City Pork’s own blend, a medium roast available daily, will also be available for sampling. Each sample will be paired with City Pork’s bacon chocolate chip cookies.

The restaurant will be open for business during the tasting with full breakfast and brunch menus.

Kleinpeter debuts new delivery trucks

Kleinpeter Farms Dairy has invested in a new fleet of delivery trucks featuring the company’s Holstein cow-inspired black spotted decal.

The new trucks are among the investments the company has made as it strives to rebuild its image after quality issues arose nearly two years ago with Kleinpeter’s milk.

Kleinpeter has spent more than $1 million on the 28 new trucks, three of which have already hit the road. The other 25 will follow in the coming weeks and months.

Kolache Kitchen to expand menu and hours

Kolache Kitchen’s Nicholson location will be extending its hours and updating its menu on March 1.

Instead of 6 a.m.-1 p.m. daily, the restaurant will close at 4 p.m. As for the menu, Kolache Kitchen is adding lunch sandwiches and lunch tacos.

The Nicholson menu will then be more reflective of the Jefferson location, which already includes lunch sandwiches and tacos.
