Bocage area, are you ready for kolaches?
Kolache Kitchen will open its Bocage-area location next Wednesday, April 22. Owner Will Edwards confirmed the announcement early this week.
The new location at 7930 Jefferson Highway, next to the Bocage LA Rouge Mart convenience store in the former Popeyes, is Edwards’ second. The first Kolache Kitchen opened at 4245 Nicholson Drive in 2012.
Though Edwards had planned on a mid-March opening, he told 225 Dine that the opening was delayed due to permits and remodeling work taking longer that anticipated.

The main difference between the two locations is that the Jefferson Highway storefront will feature a lunch menu and expanded hours.

Edwards says customers can expect hours of 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Sunday’s hours have not yet been set in stone.
The lunch menu features five sandwich options, including a Cuban, ham and Brie, and turkey, bacon and avocado club. Lunch will also feature chicken, steak and pork tacos. Lunch items will range from $6-$10.
New breakfast items include smoked sausage kolaches and a steak, egg and cheese breakfast taco.
