How to make retro Halloween treats like salted caramel apples and honey-peanut butter taffy
This spooky season calls for a retro Halloween party. For 225‘s October 2018 issue, recipe writer Tracey Koch adapted and updated some of her favorite treats from childhood, making them healthier and taking out the preservatives that were so prevalent in the 1970s. Best of all, these recipes are simple to prepare and can be done ahead of time.
Three-ingredient Honey-Peanut Butter Taffy, Homemade Devil Dogs and Salted Caramel Apples all make an appearance, as well as an easy Chicken Enchilada Casserole dinner for after trick-or-treating.
