Jay D’s Blanc du Bois will be available starting this week at area grocery stores such as LeBlanc’s, Mathernes, Calandro’s supermarkets and Alexander’s Highland Market.
Only 80 cases of the wine will be available this year. Ducote teamed up with Landry Vineyards, a West Monroe winery, to make the hybrid white wine.
The wine is the second product Ducote’s launched. Last summer, he started bottling and selling Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce, which is available in nearly 25 stores and restaurants in and around the Baton Rouge area.
Ducote is hosting a launch party tonight, May 20, at Olive or Twist at 6 p.m. On Thursday, May 21, Ducote’s wine will be on hand during the #DemoMemorialDay celebration at Calandro’s Supermarket (12732 Perkins Road). The event starts at 3 p.m. and features 15 local food vendors, including Jay D’s, Hanley’s Foods and Jeaux’s Boys.
