Start the new decade with laughs at an open mic comedy night

Join Delete Comedy at Open Mic Comedy Night at The Station Sports Bar and Grill Wednesday, Jan. 1. Sign ups for the weekly comedy show start at 8 p.m., with the show going live at 8:30. The event is free, and guests can also enjoy burger and drink specials.

The Station Sports Bar and Grill is at 4608 Bennington Ave.


Work hard and snack hard with the Dance Fitness Party this Wednesday

Here’s a chance to make good on all those New Year’s resolutions this Wednesday, Jan. 1. The 2020 New Year Dance Fitness Party at the “BOX” at SweatBox Baton Rouge will help you with your fitness goals. Go dance to hip hop, salsa, reggae and more, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.,  to work off those holiday calories, and then enjoy the snacks and drinks provided. 

Tickets are $10. SweatBox Baton Rouge is at 11954 Coursey Blvd. 


Drink and paint at the Open Studio event this Thursday

At Painting and Pinot this Thursday, Jan. 2, the Open Studio event will let you free paint and relax. Bring your favorite alcohol and let your imagination run wild, 9 a.m.-noon.

The fee is $10. Painting and Pinot is at 7248 Perkins Road, Suite F.
