For the classic grab-and-go lunch sandwich, delivery apps provide plenty of unique options

On days when I just haven’t had time to prepare my own lunch, I usually wind up craving a sandwich. Protein and veggies suddenly feel indulgent when they’re pressed between warm bread and smothered in cheese or sauce. Plus, they’re inexpensive enough that I won’t feel guilty about ordering them a couple times a week.

As much as I love a good po-boy, it’s not the only sandwich in town. Here are eight interesting meals-on-bread from five of my go-to lunch takeout spots.

We’re still debating whether a hot dog is a sandwich, but that’s a story for another article.
