Don’t miss ‘Food Network Star’ premiere party June 7
Jay Ducote of Bite and Booze, seen here competing on season two of MasterChef, will show off his skills in another series. This time, it’s season 11 of Food Network Star.
Jay Ducote’s motto is “I eat, I drink, I write.”
Pretty soon, he might be able to add, “I have a cable television show,” to the mix.
Local food blogger Jay Ducote is competing to become the next Food Network Star.

Season 11 of the food reality show premieres Sunday at 8 p.m. To celebrate Ducote’s appearance, Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar is hosting a premiere party.
The event kicks off at 5 p.m. Fans of the show can view it inside the downtown restaurant as well as on the beacon in North Boulevard Town Square.
The event also includes food and drink and music from Bonnie & Clyde, starting at 6 p.m.
