Thanksgiving specials in Baton Rouge

Stranded in Baton Rouge this Thanksgiving? Or just looking to get out and have a good meal at a restaurant? 225 Dine has compiled a list of restaurants that will be serving food on Thanksgiving or offering specials for the day. 

Crowne Plaza will host a Thanksgiving Day buffet with seatings at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Prices are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and younger get in free. The menu includes seafood gumbo with rice, garlic mashed potatoes, candied yams, mustard greens, prime rib, turkey, ham, suckling pig and much more. Galatoire’s Bistro is offering a dine-in menu 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday and to-go options. A full dine-in menu is available online. To-go items include turtle soup ($45), duck and andouille gumbo ($49), creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, sweet potato casserole, green bean amandine, seafood stuffing, white chocolate pecan pie and bread pudding. Juban’s has a catering menu available online and will offer a $34 four-course prix fixe menu 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The menu includes oven-roasted turkey with andouille cornbread dressing, pan gravy, garlic butter green beans and cranberry ginger relish. For more information, call 346-8422.

Zoroona Mediterranean Grill is offering a number of menu items as to-go trays, such as hummus, falafel, gyros, chicken shawarma and more. Pick ups must be made by 6 p.m. Wednesday. For more information, call 421-8233.

Tallulah inside the Renaissance Hotel has a Thanksgiving buffet 11 a.m.-2 p.m. featuring seafood gumbo, roasted turkey, lamb, cochon de lait, shrimp and grits and much more. The buffet is $28 for adults, $14 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger. For more information, call 388-5710.

TJ Ribs has a few smoked turkey dinners left. Both locations of the restaurant are offering the special, but will be closed Thanksgiving day. The dinner comes with cornbread dressing, a dozen rolls and two sides of your choice. It feeds 6-8 people and is $69.95. TJ Ribs is also offering the turkey by itself for $49.95. Mansurs on the Boulevard has a condensed version of the dinner menu as well as turkey and dressing as the special of the day. All seatings except for 10:30 a.m. are full. Call 923-3366 to make your reservation.

The Capitol City Hilton is not taking any more reservations for its Thanksgiving buffet.
