City Pork now serving up brunch

Baton Rouge has a new option for brunch.

City Pork Deli and Charcuterie at 2363 Hollydale Ave. is now serving a brunch menu Saturdays, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and Sundays, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The restaurant near the Perkins Road overpass started its brunch service last weekend.

The menu features brunch plates, sandwiches and boards as well as Vietnamese iced coffee, bacon Bloody Marys and mimosas. Sides such as smoked corn grits and a chicken fried biscuit.

Plates range in price from $7-$14 and include items such as The Hangover (two eggs sunny side up, two slices of bacon, sausage patty, smoked corn grits and multigrain toast), a City Pork bacon waffle, house-smoked wings and a chicken-fried smoked brisket and gravy biscuit with a fried egg.

Among the sandwiches is the Ozzy, which features seared andouille sausage, hogs head cheese, bacon, sweet potato beer mustard and a fried egg on a pretzel roll.
