Events picks: See ’61 Bullets’ at Manship

See the new documentary 61 Bullets
Manship Theatre will screen an award-winning film this weekend. 61 Bullets is a new documentary from directors David Modigliani and Lucy Kruetz that took home the Jury Prize at the 2014 New Orleans Film Festival. The film reexamines the assassination of Huey P. Long. For the last 75 years, the public has been told that Dr. Carl Weiss was the alleged murderer. However, this documentary reopens the case and explores the mystery behind one of the biggest political killings in U.S. history. The screening takes place Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8.50. After the screening, there will be a filmmaker Q&A. For more information and to view the trailer, click here.
