Head to Nottoway Plantation for the levee bonfire festival

If you’re looking to get out Baton Rouge for the night, head to Nottoway Plantation & Resort for the Iberville Parish “Bonfires on the Levee Christmas Festival” Friday, Dec. 9. 

Located in White Castle, the evening will begin at 5 p.m. and features bonfires, food, entertainment, fireworks and a Christmas tree lighting. Santa will make an appearance.

Tickets are $5 per car.   


Magnolia Mound will hold its ‘Creole Christmas’ event 

Celebrate the holidays at BREC’s Magnolia Mound Plantation’s “Creole Christmas & Holiday Fair.” 

On Sunday, Dec. 11, 1-6 p.m., the plantation at 2161 Nicholson Drive will come alive with traditional French and Spanish songs, crafts, a bonfire, food vendors and more.

The Cove hosting ‘Jester King Beer Dinner’

Chef Richard Markert and Secret Lair will bring its flavors to The Cove.

On Sunday, Dec. 11, 6-9 p.m., the event will feature a five-course dinner ranging from small plates to a Napoleon of Rabbit, Foie Gras and Crispy Sweet Potato.

The Cove is at 2561 Citiplace Court. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.
