Head to the Baton Rouge Zoo for the ninth annual Zoo Zoom 5K and Kids’ Half-Mile Fun Run this weekend. The festivities kick off Saturday with the fun run at 7:45 a.m. The 5K follows at 8:15 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female and by age. A portion of registration fees will go towards supporting the zoo’s conservation programs for threatened and endangered animals. Registration fees vary online. For more information, call 775-3877.
