Music picks: See Drivin’ N Cryin’ at Chelsea’s

Hear the Southern rock sounds of Drivin’ N Cryin’ this New Year’s Eve. The Atlanta, Georgia, band performs at Chelsea’s Café at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. The band enjoyed success in the late ’80s and ’90s with the release of albums such as Whisper Tames the Lion and Fly Me Courageous. The latter of those releases was certified gold and featured the hit single “Build a Fire.” Over the past decade, the band has settled into its hard rock sound and saw a resurgence in popularity thanks to the 2012 documentary, Scarred but Smarter. In 2014, the band continued its steady output of themed EPs, releasing Songs for the Turntable in January. Get more information.
