Head to the Mighty Mississippi for the Big River Regional

Paddlers, kayakers and adventurers will be launching into the river from downtown this weekend for the second-ever Big River Regional Stand Up Paddle and Kayak Race. The event kicks off Saturday at 8 a.m. at Hotel Indigo. For participants, mandatory check-in is 6 a.m.-7:15 a.m., followed by gear and safety checks. The race runs 13 miles along the Mississippi River and will end by L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. Other festivities include a performance from Soul Jukeboxx at 10:30 a.m., raffles and food and an after party hosted at L’Auberge’s Stadium Sports Bar & Grill at 7 p.m. Registration is $99.
