Enjoy local beers for a good cause at Baton Rouge Beerfest Friday, Aug. 21

Barcadia is presenting the second annual Baton Rouge Beerfest at the Hilton Capitol Center Friday, Aug. 21.

The event features hors d’ouevres, more than 10 brands of beer, a silent auction and live entertainment by The ZipTies.

Hors d’ouevres will be catered by Baton Rouge favorites like Barcadia, City Pork, Jeaux’s Boys, Marty J’s, Troy Deano’s Catering and Ruffino’s.

Mockler Beverage will provide beer from local breweries and brands including Bayou Teche, Chafunkta, Tin Roof, Parish, Corona, Covington, Founders, New Belgium, Saint Arnold, Southern Prohibition and Sweet Water.

All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and research for Cystic Fibrosis.

Tickets to the Baton Rouge Beerfest are $50. Attire for the festival is business casual. Tickets for the VIP reception presented by Kendra Scott and the festival are $75. Cocktail attire is required at the reception.

The reception is 7-8 p.m. and the festival is 8-11 p.m.
