Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center (BRCAC) will host its ninth annual Celebrity Waiter Event next week.

The event kicks off Wednesday, July 15, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge. Tickets are $50 online and $60 at the door.

This is the biggest fundraiser for BRCAC. Director Sharon Pol says the event brings in a third of the organization’s budget for total operation costs.

The menu will be tailgate-style foods and includes Catfish Acadiana (fried catfish topped with crawfish étoufée), boudin balls and bread pudding.

Some of the local celebrities include LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri, East Baton Rouge district attorney Hillar Moore, local television personality Whitney Vann and Metro Councilman John Delgado. David St. Romain will also be on hand, providing a few tunes for tips.
