Take part in a painting class at the Old State Capitol Tuesday
Painting and Pinot is holding a special art workshop at the Old State Capitol on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m.
Light hors d’oeuvres and art supplies will be provided. Guests can bring clear beverages.

Guitarist Jim Standley and tenor saxophonist Glen Petersen will perform familiar tunes in a “cool jazz” style at The Brakes Bar on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Attend a First Free Wednesday opening reception with live music, snacks and drinks at the Baton Rouge Gallery on Sept. 2.
This reception will celebrate the newest works of BRG exhibiting artists David Horton, Pippin Frisbie-Calder, Matt Morris and Alex Podesta.
