Participate in Toys & Trivia at Overpass Merchant on Monday
Join Club BLUE, the Boys & Girls Club Young Professional Affinity Group, for a Christmas toy drive and to play some Christmas-themed trivia this Monday, Dec. 6.
The event takes place at Overpass Merchant, and participants are encouraged to purchase a toy from the Boys & Girls Club’s Amazon wishlist to participate and get their first drink free.

Tired of buying store-bought cakes for every party and occasion? Let Party Time teach you how to improve your buttercream and frosting skills at a four-week class starting this Tuesday, Dec. 7.
In this four-part class, you will learn all the basics of cake decorating and frosting. From learning how to ice cakes to mastering the small details like flowers and rosettes, this class will cover it all. Dazzle your party guests with unique cake designs.
These classes will be offered on Dec. 7, 9, 21 and 28. There are two time options for the classes: in the morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and in the evening from 6-8 p.m. The class package is $40. Celebrate the holidays at Acadian Village Shopping Center Wednesday
The Acadian Village Shopping Center is giving you another opportunity to shop local for the holidays this Wednesday, Dec. 8.
Browse pop-up sidewalk shops and visit the stores in the shopping center to shop local this holiday season. Though there will be plenty of gifts to snag for loved ones, this is way more than just a holiday market. There will also be plenty of festive entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy live music, caroling, poinsettia sorbet mimosas, hot cocoa and cider. Santa Claus will even make a special visit.

Join Mestizo for an artists’ market on Wednesday
Head to Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine for its 5th annual holiday market of local artists and makers. The vendors will be set up at the Acadian Thruway restaurant on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 5-9 p.m.
