Tune your radios to KLSU 91.1 FM tomorrow, Oct. 6, in support of College Radio Day.

Hundreds of college radio stations across the globe, including Baton Rouge’s very own KLSU, will be holding special events to “raise a greater awareness” of college radio. Those who do not normally listen to college radio, and even those who do, are encouraged to tune in to show their support.

KLSU, founded in 2002, plays alternative and indie music and broadcasts a variety of special programming including news, sports and weather updates. You can find the station throughout the Baton Rouge area, but if you’re not in range, you can stream at klsuradio.fm or on the RadioFX app.

In the spirit of the holiday, KLSU will be hosting a free concert at Barcadia Oct. 6, with performances by four local actsdoomy nihilist punk rock group Wimpsville, psychedelic/rock/funk band Quarx, funky space band ShoNuff and rapper _thesmoothcat.

The concert will be held 7 p.m.-midnight. Barcadia is at 3347 Highland Road.
