Paddle the lakes with your pet this Sunday, Sept. 10

Is there anything cuter than a paddling pooch? We don’t think so.

See for yourself this Sunday, Sept. 10, at BREC’s Pets N’ Paddling event. For $10, you and your pet can paddle across the University Lakes in either a canoe, kayak or on a paddle board.

The funds raised will go toward Friends of the Animals, a nonprofit whose mission is to rescue, re-home and save as many dogs as possible in the Baton Rouge area. Since its founding in 2010, the organization has found forever homes for more than 2,000 animals.

The event will also double as a pet adoption program.
