Nolapalooza 6 takes over the Varsity Theatre Saturday, July 22

The 6th annual Nolapalooza celebration benefitting The Barefoot Petals Foundation is Saturday, July 22, at Varsity Theatre. This feel-good event combines live music, food, fellowship and fun.

Jeffrey David Nola

The Barefoot Pedals Foundation and Nolapalooza honor the legacy of Jeffrey David Nola, a musician, campus minister and religion teacher at Catholic High School. In 2011, Nola died at the age of 35 after fighting a rare form of cancer called Burkitt’s lymphoma. The foundation collects funds for the Jeff Nola ’94 Memorial Scholarship Fund and other charities.

The day starts off with the Nolapalooza 5k and fun run. Race registration opens at 7 a.m., with the fun run starting at 8 a.m. and the 5k at 8:30 a.m. Later in the day, the Nolapalooza concert includes performances from Cold Grits, Questionable at Best and Andy Bourgeois Trio.

The event includes catered food from The Chimes, beer and wine until 10 p.m.

All attendees must be 18 or older. Get early access to Varsity Theatre (3353 Highland Road) with the Nolapalooza VIP event, beginning at 6 p.m. The main event,  the Nolapalooza concert, starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening to the public at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at The Chimes on Highland Road, by phone at 866-777-8932 or online at ticketweb.com.
