Head to Sunday in the Park for music by The Chris LeBlanc Band Oct. 15

Make your way downtown for a performance by Louisiana rock group The Chris LeBlanc Band this Sunday, Oct. 15.

LeBlanc will be playing the free concert series Sunday in the Park, which is hosted by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and partly sponsored by 225. Held each spring and fall, Sunday in the Park highlights lesser-known artists while fostering a sense of community.

Since 1995, LeBlanc has recorded four albums on his own label, Sweetroll Records. In 2012, he played 244 shows, bringing his bluesy Southern sound from town to town. LeBlanc has been billed with artists such as ZZ Top, BB King, Hank Williams Jr., Vince Gill and Brett Michaels.

During the concert, pick up some lunch or an early dinner from Capital City Grill or Stroubes. Manship Theatre at the Shaw Center for the Arts’ outdoor full bar will be serving classic brunch cocktails and happy hour specials.

Sunday in the Park will be held Sunday, Oct. 15, 2-5 p.m. The concert will be held at the Shaw Center for the Arts Plaza at 100 Lafayette St.
