Free stuff alert: All the Louisiana museums you can visit for free this Saturday during Museum Day Live!

Road trip around Louisiana this Saturday, Sept. 23, for Museum Day Live!, an annual celebration of museums and cultural institutions hosted by Smithsonian magazine.

Museum Day Live! is a nationwide event, with more than 1,200 museums and cultural institutions opening their doors for free to anyone with a Museum Day Live! ticket. Fifteen of those 1,200 participating museums and institutions are in Louisiana.

A ticket gets you and a guest free admission into a participating museum of your choice. You may download one Museum Day Live! ticket here. There is a one-ticket limit per email address.
