Think Twice Style: Right angles

While I am excited about warm weather coming around, I am already missing turtleneck season. A good turtleneck is so easy for cold weather! Easy to layer, easy to wear alone, keeps the neck warm, the list goes on! Speaking of easy to layer …

IMG_9307This jacket. Y’all! This jacket is everything. Angled shoulder pads, bell sleeves, Mandarin collar, tie belt with doo-dads. The second I put it on, I felt so sophisticated. I immediately wanted to put my hair into a topknot, swipe on some red lips and conquer the world!

Clothes can do that to you. They can make you feel powerful. They can make you feel confident. They can make you feel interesting. In turn, they can also make you feel like a shlump. Sure, it is easy to toss on something über comfortable that may not look best. But what if you put on something that may be a little less comfortable that looks better? I will admit that I dress for comfort about half of the time, but I also try to dress to look good. When I feel confident about how I look, I feel more confident throughout my day. For some unexplainable reason, I get more done when I am dressed up rather than dressed down. Can anyone else relate?

I have a mountain of work to do this week, but I hereby vow to not dress like a slob to (hopefully) increase my work ethic!
