Think Twice Style: The magic coat

Every gal needs a practical coat. You know the one—it may not be the prettiest or the coolest, but it keeps you warm on the coldest days and, let’s face it, that is its job. You yield the element of fashion in favor of warmth. We’ve all been there. But what about when you want a coat that is both warm and chic? Must you always sacrifice fashion for comfort? I say no.

For months, months, I was searching for the perfect fluffy coat. I had my specifications, of course. It had to be within a certain price range, must have pockets, must have closures of some sort, collarless, preferably in black or leopard, and a soft faux fur.

Needle. In. A. Haystack, y’all.

However, just as I had given up, I wandered into a store’s closing sale (initially to get a break from that annoying freezing mist during a trip to Holland) and found my golden ticket! It was flawless and 50% off. It was just within my price range, with pockets, hook closures (I have a thing against zippers and fur mixing), no collar, and black and fuzzy like a bear. Bonus? It covers my bum and is long enough to look great with both dresses and pants. Win-win.

It’s chic, warm and makes me feel like Beyoncé: flawless.
