Think Twice Style: Golden Casual
Confession: I have worn this outfit once a week for the last month. It has become my ultimate “weekend” look this season.
A couple of years ago, I thrifted this sweater. Let the record show that, though I did not like it very much at the time, I had a good feeling about it anyway. Why?
1) The turtleneck. My love for turtlenecks will never die.
2) The color. Who can resist this sunny shade?
3) The cut. Oversized and borderline lazy, but lovable (as the Dutch say, “gezellig”).

Am I the only one who impulse buys things they do not really like at the time, but know they will like in, say, two years?
Everyone has their favorite weekend look. My norm is boyfriend jeans, but when you find skinnies as comfortable as these, you make the switch. The mid-rise on this pair is perfect for gals with curves. They sit higher on your hips, but not T. Swift high. With holes, they are probably not Casual Friday-at-work appropriate, which is a real bummer. But then, you can truly call them your “Weekend Pants.” And at this point in the winter, your sweatpants need a break.
By February, you are probably ready to bust out your sandals and let your toes see the light of day. For those in-between weather days, when you are tired of boots but not quite ready for sandals, go with a casual loafer. They look smart and kick up your chunky sweater/holes in your jeans look. As for the accessories, keep it simple with simple jewelry and men’s shades.
