Tailgating Redefined

Football season is here! How’s your fantasy team doing? We love football season and all that it entails. Barbeque, washers, beer, cooler weather, and winning (obviously). But do you ever feel like you’re wearing the same thing, game after game, year after year? Here are a few ways you can change up your tailgating outfits:

Now we aren’t saying that polo shirts are bad. We love them when we’re feeling extra preppy. But it never hurts to try something new! If you want a classic look but always reach for your solid gold Ralph Lauren Polo shirt, try a sharp yellow Ralph Lauren Oxford next time for just a little change. Or try a nice linen button down. We LOVE a man in linen, and it’s the perfect lightweight material to sport in this warm weather.

One thing that is pretty unique to southern tailgating is how much we dress up. And we love it! As the weather turns a bit cooler throughout football season, try wearing some dressier pants with your oxford to show how classy your team can be. Even a nice pair of khakis can turn some heads while you cheer on your team.

A fun tie or even a bowtie can be such a fun way to show your school spirit. And if you don’t have any shirts with your school colors or are looking for a way to stand out from the sea of purple and gold, try wearing a neutral shirt with a trendy tie in your school’s colors. How gentlemanly of you!

Sweaters! Oh how we cannot wait for sweater weather! When it starts to cool down a bit, try accenting your tailgating outfit with a nice cardigan. Or you can slip on a neutral v-neck sweater over a colorful button down for a refined way to show your school spirit.

A pin is a really different way to support your team. Show off that mascot with this shiny accessory and all eyes will be on you. You can even wear this to school or work on Fridays to show off your spirit.
