Y’all, I have a confession to make. Those pictures above where I am wearing a dress? They’re lying. It’s not a dress.

It’s a matching set! Yes, you read correctly. Two pieces, designed with the intention of creating the illusion of one piece. Genius, I tell you, genius! These sets are all the rage right now. What I love about this particular patriotic set is that the crop top and skirt slightly overlap each other. I rarely wear crop tops, as they are not practical for everyday wear, so wearing one without showing skin is in my comfort zone.

The key to wearing a crop top is balancing the bottom half of your body. If you are showing a lot of skin on top, cover up more on the bottom. If your top has modest coverage, your hemline can be raised a bit more.
