The sporty chic trend is in full bloom! From Chanel sneakers to sheer mesh backpacks, this look is everywhere. Finding a balance between looking like you just came from practice and Fashion Week Paris isn’t easy. Searching for a basic pair of sneakers was my first step, and I think that is a good place to start. I’ve worn this pair with flirty an formal dresses and skinny jeans so far, and I am sure they will be worn out by the end of the year. My favorite pair of shoes? Yes!
Another way to work the sporty chic trend is with your accessories. A cool backpack, a baseball cap or a vinyl clutch are all fun ways to incorporate this look into your wardrobe without breaking the bank. Because I don’t look good in caps (it’s tragic—I assure you), this romper jumped out at me in the new Last Call at the Riverwalk in New Orleans. I love, love love the reflectors on the zipper. It is a fun detail and functional if I decide to go for a walk at night. The sheer vinyl details on the sleeves and back are a cool way to embrace the cutout trend without actually showing skin. Grey trim details and a drawstring bring a hint of the #sweatpantslife to the look.
