Enjoy Baton Rouge Fashion Week

Fashionistas will flock downtown this weekend as Oneofakind Baton Rouge Fashion Week makes its debut. The weekend-long event kicks off Thursday with a mixer at 6 p.m. at Restaurant IPO. The free cocktail hour is a great chance to mingle with OBRFW crew, models and organizers. The fashion-focused agenda rolls on with a “For Kids, by Kids” show, slated for Friday at the Shaw Center for the Arts. Finally, the celebration wraps up Saturday with the big night at Capitol Park Museum. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the fashion show starts at 8 p.m. The program highlights diverse works from 15 designers, including Dallas-based Christopher Youngstar, as well as several recent LSU fashion design grads. Tickets for the Saturday show are $40 online and are available at JuJu’s Baton Rouge Boutique and at the Capitol Park Museum.
