Auditions are open for The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou

Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre is excited to announce that children’s auditions for The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou will take place on Sunday, Sept. 13. There is nothing quite like the magic of performing in The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou, a cherished holiday tradition and beloved family experience in Baton Rouge for generations.

Selected children will have the extraordinary opportunity to perform live on stage alongside the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, bringing this timeless classic to life in memorable roles such as cherubs, mice, toy soldiers, and more. Performing in this iconic show will be a memory to last a lifetime.

Auditions are open to children ages 8–13 of all skill levels and will be held at Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s NeuroMedical Center Studio, located at 10745 Linkwood Court. Audition times vary by age group, so please click here for the complete schedule and additional audition information.

Early registration is encouraged. The audition fee is $25 through August 31 and increases to $30 beginning September 1.
