Laugh with D. L. Hughley

Comedian D. L. Hughley makes a stop in the Capital City. The funny-man will perform at the Belle of Baton Rouge Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25. Hughley burst onto the scene in the early ’90s, hosting BET’s ComicView, then landed a network sitcom, The Hughleys. Hughley’s stardom only went up from there, as he was a member of The Original Kings of Comedy, a troupe with Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey and Bernie Mac. The group’s show was filmed by Spike Lee and released in theaters in 2000, grossing 10 times its budget. Last year, Hughley was featured on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
